Review Procedure
  1. Authors submit texts by their individual accounts, which they create in the system integrated with the journal website: ingremium.pl.
  2. The texts should be prepared according to the editorial requirements specified on the journal website. They should present original research that introduce new knowledge into the scope of a given discipline. The authors cannot submit texts that has already been published or has been submitted to other journals.
  3. The Editorial Board makes a preliminary assessment of the submitted texts and informs thereon every author about their acceptance for review or their rejection. The texts can be rejected on the basis of merit or due to unfulfillment of the aforementioned requirements.
  4. The texts positively assessed by the Editorial Board are sent to two reviewers (not affiliated with the author's institution) via their individual accounts, which they create in the system integrated with the journal website. The journal cooperates with the group of reviewers listed on the website. New reviewers, whose research interests correspond to the issues covered by the submitted texts, are invited to this group. The texts are subject to double-blind peer review – reviewers and authors stay anonymous to each other – and are reviewed by the use of the review form available for the reviewers in the system. The review form consists of 10 elements (9 of which are criterions that undergo point-based assessment):
    • consistency of the title with the main text (0-5 pts)
    • originality of the research problem (0-5 pts)
    • delineation of the research problem (0-5 pts)
    • methodology (0-5 pts)
    • the literature included (0-5 pts)
    • clarity (0-3 pts)
    • language correctness (0-3 pts)
    • notes/references (0-3 pts)
    • consistency of the summary with the main text (0-3 pts)
    • written justification of the assessment

The texts recommended for publication should obtain no less than 26 out of 37 pts. The reviewers are able to attach an additional file with remarks to the review form. They can make the file available for both the author and the Editorial Board, or only for the Editorial Board.

  1. The Editorial Board makes a decision whether the text is rejected or accepted for print basing on the obtained reviews. The texts that received two negative reviews cannot be accepted for print. In case of an ambiguous assessment (e.g. if one review is positive and the other negative) the Editorial Board can send the text to the third reviewer (following double-blind peer review principles) or turn to one of the Editorial Board members or an external expert for an opinion on the text and the remarks included in the reviews. The final decision whether the text is rejected or accepted for print is always made by the Editorial Board.
  2. The author is obliged to take a position on the necessary corrections suggested by the reviewers.
  3. The authors and the Editorial Board members can submit their remarks at every stage of the reviewing and editorial procedures.
